Overview

Join our dynamic legal editorial team as a Cases Editor, working with leading legal research products focused on New Zealand primary law. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of the Westlaw cases collection, ensuring it meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft concise and clear summaries for diverse legal cases.
  • Apply our proprietary classification system to categorize decisions and identify their interrelationships.
  • Maintain and update case quantum tracker resources with subject matter expertise.
  • Leverage AI-driven research and editorial tools daily to boost efficiency and content quality.
  • Engage in broader editorial initiatives and contribute to business group projects.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a law degree with thorough knowledge of New Zealand's legal system.
  • Exhibit excellent research capabilities and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and clearly communicate complex legal information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with online legal research platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong appreciation of accuracy from a customer perspective.
  • Adapt readily and positively to shifting priorities and changes.
