Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant (m/w/d) – immediate start

Role overview

For a client in Schenefeld, we are looking for a full-time caretaker / maintenance assistant as part of temporary staffing with a possible route to permanent employment. The role covers practical support across a research campus, including the outdoor areas and the cafeteria.

Key duties

• Provide general caretaker services for all campus buildings, including outdoor spaces and the canteen.
• Carry out small repairs and touch-up work.
• Support employees with manual and technical tasks.
• Handle internal relocations within the site and external storage areas.
• Set up seating arrangements in meeting rooms and exhibition spaces.
• Hang and mount objects of various kinds.
• Perform transport-related tasks.
• Maintain company vehicles and bicycles.

What you should bring

• Practical hands-on ability across as many trades as possible.
• Physical resilience, including safe work on ladders and stairs as well as lifting and carrying loads.
• Dependability plus the ability to work independently and responsibly.
• A friendly, cooperative manner.
• Driving licence class B; BE is an advantage.
• English is the working language, so English skills are helpful; German skills are essential.
