Capacity Planner

Role Overview

This role is part of the Outsourcing Subcontractor Management team, focusing on planning capacity for assembly and testing operations. Reporting to the Capacity Planning Manager, you will manage capacity bookings with external subcontractors, ensuring alignment between available capacity and forecasted demand for your product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) sessions with outsourcing subcontractors for your assigned products, securing capacity and materials.
• Coordinate and drive Control Tower review meetings, facilitating alignment between demand plans and capacity availability.
• Monitor capacity utilization at subcontractors, forecasting expenditures based on analysis.
• Engage subcontractors to resolve capacity shortfalls or material shortages.
• Collaborate with regional operations teams to align demand forecasting with daily operational execution.
• Work with technical and quality departments to support equipment ramp-ups.
• Collect market intelligence on subcontractor capacity availability.
• Maintain strong partnerships with subcontractors while driving key performance indicators to meet short-term objectives.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Preferably have at least five years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong skills in advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with PowerBI and handling sizable data sets.
• Technical understanding of semiconductor packaging and testing processes, including planning and operations.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, accountability, and problem-solving under tight timelines.
• Team-oriented with good negotiation capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong numerical aptitude.
• Excellent communication proficiency.
