Role Overview

The Camera Cleaner is essential in maintaining KEH's high standards by meticulously cleaning and preparing incoming photographic items before technical inspection. This role demands precision, care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean various camera bodies, lenses, and accessories according to established procedures and quality benchmarks.
  • Preserve the sorting and categorization system established by the Receiving Team.
  • Ensure all items are spotless and free of dust, debris, or residue prior to inspection.
  • Handle delicate equipment with utmost care, following best practices for safety and preservation.
  • Identify and report any gear requiring extra attention or showing potential damage.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized while adhering to safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with team members to maintain workflow and quality consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with camera or electronic equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Keen attention to detail with a dedication to consistent quality.
  • Ability to work autonomously with self-motivation throughout shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated focus, care, and efficient work pace.
  • Eagerness to learn, take responsibility, and meet set performance goals.

  • Capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and lift items up to 25 pounds as necessary.

Language Requirements

Basic proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and comprehension of simple instructions.

Physical Expectations

The position involves frequent communication and some physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling tools. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, sometimes overhead. Visual acuity for close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment is necessary. The workplace noise level is typically moderate.
