Summerset Milldale is set to launch a brand-new café within its vibrant retirement village community in Auckland, New Zealand. This café will stand out as a central gathering spot, adding to the lively atmosphere of the village and serving residents and visitors with great food and service.

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and hands-on Cafe Supervisor to lead and manage the daily activities of the café. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, preparing and serving high-quality coffee and light meals, and fostering a warm, welcoming environment for our residents and guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth daily operation of the café including cash reconciliation.
• Lead, train, and mentor a small team to maintain excellent service standards.
• Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages with quality and care.
• Deliver exceptional barista services consistently.
• Support catering needs for village events and resident functions.
• Collaborate closely with the Chef Manager and broader village team to ensure a consistent and pleasant café experience.

Working Hours

This position requires working from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Previous experience managing daily operations in a café or hospitality setting.
• Leadership experience with team management is preferred.
• Strong barista skills and hospitality knowledge.
• Friendly, warm, and customer-focused personality.
• Excellent verbal communication and multitasking abilities.
