Job description
Position Overview
Freedom Group invites motivated Jointer's Mates with experience in any voltage class to advance their careers with structured development programs. This role provides a pathway to become a fully qualified LV Services or LV Mains Jointer and subsequent progression up to 11kv and 33kv authorization levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Jointers in installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage (LV) network equipment.
- Manage tools, materials, excavation support, and prepare cables efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, promoting a secure work environment.
- Acquire technical knowledge and practical skills essential for obtaining Jointer authorizations.
Development Opportunities
- Access to an internal jointing training school.
- Mentorship from seasoned LV and HV Jointers.
- Clear progression pathway toward becoming an Authorized Jointer, including multi Distribution Network Operator (DNO) authorisations.
- Potential to advance into roles such as LV Services/LV Mains Jointer, LV Switching/Linking specialist, HV Jointer, Senior Jointer, and Field Supervisor or Team Leader.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Jointer's Mate or Cable Mate is required.
- Strong dedication, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Consistent commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
