Responsibilities
- Lead detailed analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements, ensuring all changes are accurately captured.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to implement end-to-end payments solutions.
- Convert complex business needs into clear, concise functional requirements and user stories.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions with cross-functional groups to gather and analyze requirements.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of payment processes, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Assist scrum masters and project managers in planning, scoping, and analyzing impacts for various initiatives.
- Conduct gap analyses, root cause investigations, and readiness reviews related to payment system upgrades or enhancements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in payments projects and operational improvements.
- Monitor system performance after implementation and manage incident resolution effectively.
- Work efficiently within tight deadlines, which may involve extended hours during peak periods to meet project goals.
- Mentor junior team members and support broader portfolio initiatives where possible.
- Foster a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank-wide resources and knowledge.
- Promote a high-performance and inclusive workplace environment.
- Participate in and execute various testing cycles.
- Ability and willingness to be present in the office at least three days per week.
Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and system analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to translate complex information for both technical and business stakeholders.
- Capability to perform gap analysis across different payment standards.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
- Proactively identify project risks and contribute to project success.
- Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
- In-depth payments domain knowledge, including MT format, MX (ISO20022), and CBPR+ protocols.
- Experience with FED payment systems is an additional asset.
- Familiarity with Agile project methodology.
- Experience in the banking or financial industry is advantageous.
