The ideal candidate is an organized self-learner who thrives in a dynamic work environment and quickly masters new technologies. This role involves close collaboration with global executive teams and business leaders to influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights.

The successful candidate will contribute to building new analytical frameworks from the ground up, focusing on global merchant acquisition and payments. Though the position is based in India, it entails frequent interaction with leadership and teams across Europe, Japan, the United States, and other locations. The individual should be analytically minded, resourceful, customer-centric, collaborative, and able to work independently while meeting tight deadlines. A strong history of managing end-to-end projects and delivering results in fast-paced settings is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and finance teams to develop KPIs and novel measurement approaches.
  • Effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders inside and outside the team, translating data into prioritized insights.
  • Use advanced statistical techniques and cross-reference multiple data sources, benchmarking against industry standards, to make and support recommendations.
  • Identify and automate performance reports, improve BI tools, scale ad-hoc analyses, and streamline regular metrics reporting.
  • Define data and telemetry requirements to enhance data extraction efficiency and accelerate insight delivery.

Typical Daily Activities

  • Perform data analysis to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and increase signups or revenue.
  • Define and create critical business metrics and reports covering global business drivers, KPIs, and financials.
  • Manage alignment and standardization of analytics projects across international business teams.
  • Coordinate with business leaders and BI executives across Europe, Asia, and North America to drive initiatives.
  • Oversee key reports and metrics used by senior leadership including VPs and Directors.
  • Lead in-depth business performance analyses across various KPIs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience analyzing and interpreting data using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or similar databases.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with industry analytics and visualization platforms like Excel, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, combined with knowledge of statistical tests (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared).
  • Experience scripting in languages like Python, Java, or R.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and data pipeline architecture.
  • Background in statistical and correlation analyses.
