Business Intelligence Developer

Overview

Master Works is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to create, enhance, and manage BI solutions such as dashboards, reports, data models, and ETL workflows. This role requires collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to convert their requirements into robust BI deliverables. The professional will be accountable for developing SQL-based visualizations, performing thorough testing and debugging, and continuously optimizing BI systems to meet evolving business demands.

Main Duties

• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications.
• Develop best practices and design guidelines for ETL processes to ensure a scalable and manageable BI infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive business intelligence solutions, including reporting tools.
• Create and maintain data management systems like Tabular Models to organize information effectively.
• Conduct unit tests and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and reliability.
• Assess current BI systems and implement improvements as needed.
• Work jointly with various teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Write and execute SQL database queries for data analysis purposes.
• Prepare requested reports and visualizations providing insightful business data.
• Maintain and update detailed technical documentation related to BI projects.
• Plan and communicate work assignments ensuring deadlines are met.
• Oversee BI projects throughout their development stages, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Administer BI project designs and create dashboards and reports primarily using SQL Server.
• Develop test cases and plans, performing system testing to validate outputs.
• Install and help configure various BI tools, addressing issues as they arise.
• Monitor monthly release cycles and perform unit testing to guarantee quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in developing business intelligence solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise-level applications, databases, and data warehouse environments.
• Proficient in SQL, including writing complex queries, and skilled with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Solid grasp of relational database concepts and architectures.
• Capable of interpreting user demands to build front-end BI applications that meet specifications.
• A self-starter with an innovative mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently.
• Excellent analytical abilities combined with strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Details

The position requires working onsite at the client's location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Candidates should be ready to engage with client teams and deliver within agreed timelines.
