The Business Development Representative (BDR) position is a key component of Salesforce's Sales Development Organization, focused on generating new business opportunities and launching impactful sales careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business pipeline via outbound prospecting and cold calling within an assigned territory, targeting both existing customers and new prospects.
- Collaborate with account teams to identify and develop pipeline opportunities by researching business lines, key decision makers, and relevant personas.
- Manage and cultivate inbound leads and early-stage sales opportunities resulting from outbound efforts.
- Engage in comprehensive sales training to build foundational skills essential for long-term success in sales.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and conducting account research across various accounts.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to connect with decision makers across different organizational levels.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Consistent achievement or surpassing of sales goals and performance metrics.
- Preferred: 1–2 years’ experience in business development, sales, or related fields.
- Preferred: Familiarity with account planning and managing a hybrid list of new and existing accounts.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools.
Compensation and Benefits
Salesforce supports your growth and well-being, offering resources to balance your life and maximize impact through AI-enhanced tools. The base salary range for Ontario roles is CAD 54,665 to 73,125 annually, exclusive of bonuses, sales incentives, equity, and other benefits.
