Role Overview
Take full ownership of the site development lifecycle for Tesla Charging products within your assigned region. This includes pinpointing ideal locations for new stations, managing negotiations with site owners, assessing utility and permit feasibilities, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth installation and project completion. Your efforts directly impact the accessibility and convenience of charging for current and future Tesla customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively develop and oversee a pipeline of promising new locations aligned with market demands for EV users.
- Forge and sustain strong collaborative relationships with internal deployment teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites to ensure viability.
- Facilitate approvals from relevant utility companies and local permitting agencies.
- Collaborate with legal teams to draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements with site hosts.
- Coordinate with design and installation departments to evaluate installation budgets and schedules.
- Maintain accurate forecasting of project milestones and detailed tracking throughout the development stages.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, ideally including real estate, utility coordination, EV charging, policy frameworks, and permitting processes.
- Exceptionally organized, adept at juggling upwards of 20 projects simultaneously across different phases without losing focus.
- Self-driven and independent, with a proactive mindset geared towards driving results and accountability.
- Strong commercial insight to align site host objectives with Tesla’s charging network goals.
- Effective communicator skilled at engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from top executives and facility managers to city officials and utility representatives.
- Pragmatic approach to risk management, actively mitigating issues before they threaten schedules.
