Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to maintain exceptional patient care and service quality.
• Support and coordinate healthcare professionals and administrative staff, including organizing ongoing training and development.
• Pursue innovative improvements to clinic efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage staff recruitment, performance reviews, and foster a positive, collaborative work culture.
• Collaborate closely with directors and general practitioners to optimize scheduling, patient flow, and service delivery.
• Monitor financial performance, assist with budgets, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients, families, and partner agencies, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Position Overview

This is a part-time role spanning four to five days per week, with flexible working hours and remuneration for the ideal candidate. The Business and Practice Manager will lead the practice through a growth and expansion phase, ensuring smooth operations and fostering an environment that values continuous improvement and team engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proactive mindset focused on growth, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with talent recognition capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of primary care operations, funding methods, PHOs, and relevant advocacy.
• Experience in multicultural healthcare, including Māori health requirements.
• Tertiary-level business qualifications are a plus.
• Previous healthcare management experience is essential.
• Experience in business development and private healthcare settings is advantageous.
• Demonstrated awareness and implementation of staff well-being initiatives.
• Comprehensive understanding of Foundation and Cornerstone Standards and medical audit processes related to Private Health Insurance.
• Proficient in scheduling systems, patient management software, and standard computer applications.
• A positive, can-do attitude is required.
