Role Overview

The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with senior leadership, contributing across development, marketing, and listings departments. This role focuses on translating business requirements into precise project documentation, managing multifaceted projects from conception to completion, and delivering insights to inform operational strategies. The position is individual-contributor with wide-ranging cross-department interaction but without direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and articulate detailed business requirements for internal software initiatives, crafting clear specifications and project briefs for developers.
• Establish project parameters including scope, criteria for success, and acceptance standards; ensure deliverables meet these benchmarks.
• Oversee coordination of projects spanning multiple teams by monitoring progress, dependencies, and unresolved matters.
• Analyze pricing structures, workflows, and operational challenges, presenting data-driven recommendations.
• Assist senior management with special organizational projects.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least four years’ experience in business analysis, product analysis, or similar disciplines.
• Proven track record in drafting requirements or specifications adopted by software teams.
• Technical proficiency sufficient to engage in discussions around system architecture and implementations, recognizing when escalation is necessary.
• Experience in leading or coordinating projects that integrate multiple functional areas through full lifecycle.
• Excellent written communication skills with ability to independently resolve ambiguous problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in e-commerce or marketplace platforms such as Shopify, eBay, Amazon, or Newegg.
• Basic SQL knowledge or scripting capabilities.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced development tools and their integration into workflows.
• Prior work experience in small to medium-sized firms.
