Branch Service Incharge

About the Role

Exide Industries Limited is seeking a Branch Service Incharge based in Gujarat, with specific locations including Godhra, Junagadh, and Mehsana. This position is on-site within the manufacturing industry, responsible for overseeing service operations related to battery testing, maintenance, and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct battery testing and diagnosis following established standard operating procedures and using approved tools and equipment.
• Support the process of warranty evaluation, certification, and ensure claims are processed promptly.
• Lead, supervise, and provide training to both service technicians and dealer staff, emphasizing correct servicing techniques and practices.
• Oversee the management of battery stock movement, maintain accurate records, and coordinate inventory across service stations and field operations.
• Regularly visit dealer locations and customer sites to provide service assistance, perform battery inspections, and resolve complaints efficiently.
• Ensure facilities at service stations and dealers comply with hygiene, safety, and company standards.
• Monitor service turnaround times, evaluate warranty risks, and enforce adherence to corporate policies.
• Handle failed battery analysis, manage scrap disposal, and maintain thorough documentation of these processes.
• Utilize company systems such as SAP, Warehouse Management System (WMS), dashboards, and reporting tools to streamline service functions.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring the availability and accuracy of necessary records and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Research & Development, Logistics, and Sales departments to resolve operational issues effectively.

Deployment and Role Flexibility

The position requires flexibility for deployment either at service stations or in the field depending on business demands. The employee should be open to periodic rotation between service station and field roles to enhance skills and meet operational requirements.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have between two to three years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
