BIM Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to oversee BIM coordination tasks for railway, electrical, and infrastructure projects based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in BIM coordination within rail, electrical, power supply, E&M, or infrastructure project settings. This role involves managing BIM models across multiple disciplines, ensuring their precision, consistency, and compliance with project standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.

This position offers involvement in major rail and infrastructure projects, supporting multidisciplinary design coordination, model management, clash detection, authority submissions, and overall project delivery within a technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across railway, electrical, power supply, and E&M disciplines and stakeholders.
• Maintain BIM models ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
• Facilitate model coordination to ensure integration of design information among engineering and project teams.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables align with approved workflows, standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct clash detection and manage clash resolutions with relevant parties using BIM software.
• Identify coordination issues, interface conflicts, and design inconsistencies, monitoring their resolution.
• Collaborate with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding BIM coordination.
• Support technical coordination and enhance model quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in preparing and implementing the BIM Execution Plan and project-specific BIM standards.
• Help with BIM submissions to authorities (e.g., LTA, BCA) when required.
• Manage BIM documentation, version control, model records, and coordination logs effectively.
• Ensure proper organization and traceability of BIM-related documents and model updates for internal and external use.
• Extract drawings, layouts, schedules, and quantities from BIM models to support project demands.
• Support project teams with BIM outputs for design coordination, construction planning, and technical evaluations.
• Assist with daily BIM coordination and project administrative tasks as needed.
• Contribute to efficient project delivery through timely model updates, documentation support, and coordination follow-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ proven experience in BIM coordination for rail, electrical, E&M, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, model management, and clash detection techniques.
• Experience or familiarity with railway systems, power supply systems, or LTA-related projects is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documents accurately.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
• Capacity to work independently and efficiently in project-driven environments.
• Good command of English in both written and spoken forms; knowledge of Chinese is advantageous for liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

• Additional preferred experience includes involvement in MRT, metro, electrical, power supply, E&M, or public infrastructure projects within Singapore.
• Familiarity with BIM submissions to local regulatory bodies such as LTA or BCA is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating among multidisciplinary engineering, design, and project groups is desirable.
• Exposure to model-based drawing extraction, quantity takeoff, and BIM documentation control is valued.
