Role Overview

This role provides essential Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) leadership, governance, and technical assistance throughout Australian and New Zealand manufacturing partners. Ensuring beverage, bottled water, and snack products meet safe, legal, and compliance standards aligned with PepsiCo policies and local regulations is paramount. Responsibilities encompass quality system management, qualification of manufacturers and co-packers, regulatory adherence, commercialisation of new products, supporting volume expansion, handling corrective actions, capability enhancement, and fostering continuous improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners ensures PepsiCo Q&FS standards are upheld, consumer protection is prioritized, and sustainable business growth is supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and Q&FS assistance to evaluate and qualify potential manufacturing facilities for Beverages, Bottled Water, LRB, and Snack products, including validation and qualification activities in partnership with stakeholders.
• Develop and oversee quality and food safety management systems, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications during new product introductions and ongoing operations through monitoring compliance with KPIs and programs.
• Provide strategic advice to guarantee the deployment and effectiveness of Q&FS standards, systems, risk mitigation methods, and protocols across the supply chain.
• Lead investigations and in-depth reviews of Q&FS incidents, formulating corrective and preventive action plans, and verifying implementation within set timelines.
• Implement ongoing site capability development programs to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams to meet organizational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Willingness and ability to undertake travel as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in quality assurance and control roles, preferably within food and beverage sectors such as dairy, milk production, beverage manufacturing, or consumer goods technical services and R&D.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
• Capability to independently deliver quality-related training to partners.
• Adaptability to work within a multicultural environment.
• Strong teamwork skills to work effectively and efficiently within cross-functional groups.
