About the Position
Behavioral Health Care Managers at Colla Health serve as essential advocates within our integrated care framework. They provide focused behavioral health support that complements patients' physical health treatment, forming a crucial connection among the care team—including primary care providers and psychiatric consultants—with a unified, compassionate plan. This fully remote role supports one or multiple partner oncology practices working Monday through Friday.
This role is part of an ongoing recruitment approach to establish a steady pool of qualified professionals for present and future roles. Candidates will be evaluated for immediate and upcoming positions aligned with their expertise and may be contacted as opportunities arise. Key Responsibilities
- Manage mental health care for patients diagnosed with cancer within an assigned caseload.
- Provide brief, cancer-focused behavioral interventions tailored to patient needs.
- Conduct screenings and assessments for prevalent mental health and substance use disorders.
- Encourage patient engagement and coordinate follow-up behavioral health care.
- Educate patients on common mental health and substance use disorders and their treatment choices.
- Monitor and systematically document treatment response, clinical symptom shifts, and potential side effects or complications.
- Assist in psychotropic medication management as prescribed, emphasizing treatment adherence, side effect monitoring, and effectiveness.
- Establish a trusted, collaborative partnership with oncology practice teams.
- Support partner oncology groups in identifying and enrolling patients requiring behavioral health services.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or oncology environments is preferred.
- Possession of one of the following clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Commitment to delivering evidence-based care with proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in team settings.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving workplace that continuously refines processes and requires adaptability.
- Experience collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for providing quality behavioral health care and capacity to work independently.
