Job description
Role Overview
We are actively seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to spearhead continuous integration and deployment efforts, alongside infrastructure automation, to support transformative IT projects for a major telecommunication client. This position requires a self-driven individual with solid technical capabilities who thrives in a dynamic Agile setting. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, lead AWS infrastructure automation, enhance deployment workflows, and empower application teams to embrace DevOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and operate large-scale CI/CD pipelines for application releases.
- Provision and configure infrastructure automatically via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methods.
- Manage, deploy, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure tailored for production environments.
- Utilize Ansible, Terraform, and scripting tools to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to streamline release procedures.
- Enable deployment automation for microservices and container-based applications.
- Monitor deployment status and resolve any production deployment-related problems.
- Implement best practices in security, such as secrets management and IAM controls within AWS.
- Engage in production release cycles, change management, and handle incident resolution processes.
- Support initiatives involving high availability, disaster recovery, backups, and system resiliency.
- Assess DevOps tools and propose advancements to engineering methodologies.
- Generate technical documentation and deliver knowledge sharing sessions to engineering teams.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in DevOps roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in hands-on AWS infrastructure management.
- Strong capabilities with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Proficient in automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience administering Kubernetes and EKS environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and production support skills.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-grade production systems.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Self-reliant and adaptable in a fast-moving Agile workspace.
