About the Role
BDO India LLP in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking an Audit Executive to join its Vendor Due Diligence and Audit team. This position is based at the Shivaji Nagar office location. The ideal candidate will have a background of 2 to 4 years in audit-related functions including vendor due diligence and compliance audits, particularly within banking or financial services sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vendor due diligence assessments prior to onboarding and at regular intervals thereafter.
- Carry out vendor audits utilizing standardized checklists to ensure thoroughness.
- Review vendor contracts including confidentiality clauses along with compliance documentation.
- Evaluate risks spanning legal, regulatory, financial, and operational domains.
- Verify all supporting documentation and maintain meticulous audit records.
- Compile detailed audit reports highlighting findings and recommended actions.
- Monitor and ensure the timely closure of audit deficiencies and corrective measures.
- Liaise with departments such as Procurement, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and vendor contacts.
- Organize meetings and follow up with vendors to gather necessary paperwork.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Possession of professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor is advantageous.
- Relevant experience ranging from two to four years in Vendor Due Diligence, Internal or Compliance Audit, Vendor Risk Management, or Operational Risk.
- Prior exposure to banking or financial services will be preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential.
Work Conditions and Compensation
This is a full-time role with 6 working days per week at the Pune Shivaji Nagar office. The monthly salary range is between ₹25,000 and ₹28,000. Employees will benefit from a collaborative workplace culture with opportunities for professional advancement in vendor audit and consulting services.
