Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate Publisher to drive business growth and spearhead marketing strategies. This role requires a proactive individual capable of both strategic thinking and detailed execution across various marketing and operational facets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the business front of Volume 0.
• Create and optimize a direct-to-consumer subscription funnel for print copies.
• Design and implement a thoughtful digital publishing strategy.
• Generate revenue through ad sales, sponsorships, collaborations, and partnerships.
• Enhance third-party print distribution channels.
• Oversee social media presence and brand development.
• Coordinate and synchronize operations of the website, email campaigns, social media activity, and paid advertising efforts.
• Analyze performance metrics, report insights, and translate data into effective action plans.
• Manage operational tasks and conduct regular analyses.
• Onboard and collaborate with freelancers and other contributors to ensure smooth project execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in digital publishing, magazine, or content-related roles.
• Proven experience in building subscription funnels for content, media, or consumer brands.
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the independent literary and magazine sectors.
• Innovative mindset with a willingness to take creative risks.
• Resourceful, hands-on, and committed work ethic.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with quantitative tasks.
• Ability and preference to work on-site in an office environment in New York, NY.

Additional Information

Compensation for this full-time, on-site role ranges between $90,000 and $125,000 annually.
