Role Overview
Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), a public university focused on technology and higher education in ICT, is inviting applications for the post of Associate Professor within its Business School. The institution operates from Tesano in Accra and aims to support teaching, research, faculty growth, and academic achievement in a supportive academic environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is mandatory.
- The ideal candidate should already hold an Associate Professor appointment from a recognized university with promotion standards comparable to those of GCTU. Under GCTU’s criteria, this includes at least four years at Senior Lecturer level and a minimum of ten publications in recognized journals.
- Applicants who are Senior Lecturers may first be considered for Senior Lecturer appointment and then go through the university’s promotion process for Associate Professor.
- Three referees, including their names and contact addresses, must be provided.
- Applications must be submitted online, and ten hard copies of the full application package must also be delivered either in person or through a courier service to the Registrar at Ghana Communication Technology University, PMB 100, Tesano-Accra.
Key Duties
- Deliver teaching, supervision, research, community service, and faculty development in line with the expectations of an Associate Professor in a Ghanaian public university.
Compensation and Service Conditions
Pay and service terms will follow the Single Spine Pay Policy and will be aligned with the conditions of service used by public universities in Ghana.
