Role summary

The Associate Product Manager for Suite Experience is an entry-level product management opportunity for professionals moving out of business analysis or early in their product career. This role focuses on sprint-level delivery while building the ability to think more strategically about roadmap direction, customer pain points, and product vision. The APM works closely with engineering, UX, and the GPM to deliver value in a steady and efficient way. In teams without a dedicated business analyst, this person also handles user story documentation, backlog upkeep, and readiness for feature launches.

What you'll do

• Partner with the GPM to help define product vision, goals, and quarterly outcomes.
• Take ownership of backlog refinement, story creation, and sprint planning alongside engineering.
• Use AI tools and Figma to create early concepts, user flows, and concise requirement summaries.
• Write and polish user stories plus acceptance criteria.
• Work with UX and QA on design reviews and testing validation.
• Monitor feature progress and support go-to-market preparation, including release notes and internal training.
• Join customer and stakeholder interviews led by GPMs.
• Help create documentation, user guides, and organizational readiness materials.
• Remain flexible and ready to support additional team needs as they arise.

Role level and complexity

This is a fully qualified, career-track position for someone who already understands the specialty area well and is building broader awareness of business goals and organizational context. The role requires sound judgment, creative problem-solving, and the ability to handle a broad mix of issues by evaluating data and choosing effective methods. Collaboration with experienced internal and external stakeholders is expected, and day-to-day work is generally handled with minimal instruction except on new assignments.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should typically have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience. The company is looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience writing detailed technical user stories and use cases, plus 3 years in product management. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, AirFocus, and agile delivery practices is important. Experience or curiosity around using AI for prompts, analysis, or prototyping is valued. A basic sense of UX and the ability to work on wireframes and flows in Figma or similar tools is also needed. Strong written, verbal, and PowerPoint communication skills are expected. Knowledge of data, dependencies, and integration workflows is a plus. The ideal candidate adapts quickly in a fast-moving environment, stays productive when priorities shift, is proactive and self-directed, collaborates well, asks thoughtful questions, challenges ideas respectfully, and embraces feedback and continuous improvement.

Growth path

After 12 to 18 months of consistent delivery, exposure to roadmap planning, and demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration, the APM may become eligible to move into a Product Manager role.

Physical requirements

This position involves extended periods of sitting and computer-based work. The role also requires the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
