Role Overview

The Associate Planner will support the business's financial objectives by developing, overseeing, and interpreting plans balancing sales, margins, and inventory. Working closely with merchandising and allocation teams, this role uses data-driven insights to craft strategies through forecasting and analysis in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to construct preseason sales, margin, and inventory plans by department and category using historical data and trend analysis.
• Develop detailed style-level plans jointly with Merchandising.
• Identify and report opportunities and risks in financial and product planning, using metrics like markup, unit cost, and margin rates.
• Deliver financial plan presentations and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Provide weekly updates on sales, margin, and inventory performance against forecasts at aggregate and style-specific levels.
• Work alongside Merchandising, Allocation, and Assortment Planning to optimize product distribution, pricing, and receipt scheduling through data-driven choices.
• Create in-season forecasts and contribute to monthly Open-to-Buy meetings.
• Analyze sell-through rates and inventory-to-sales ratios, advising on pricing and promotions to enhance profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in planning, allocation, merchandising, or business analytics.
• Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, proactive team member with a strong commitment to accountability.
• Preferred experience includes working in multi-channel retail environments and familiarity with planning tools such as MAP, o9, or Power BI.

Additional Details

This position requires working onsite at the New York office from Tuesday through Thursday weekly, effective September 8, 2026.

Compensation: Annual base salary ranges from $64,200 to $79,600. The total rewards package may also include bonuses and comprehensive benefits based on geographic location, experience, and skills.
