Role Overview
As the Associate Director of Operations for North America, reporting directly to the Managing Director and a vital part of the regional Leadership Team, you will spearhead the entire supply operations function. This role commands comprehensive oversight of logistics processes, including demand planning, third-party logistics management, order lifecycle, coordination with global and manufacturing supply chain teams, inventory governance, quality management, returns, customer service, warehouse management, new customer onboarding, sample handling, and packaging planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee portfolio governance, program management, budgeting, performance monitoring, and analytics within Supply Chain.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply network focusing on balancing local vs. global production and cost efficiency.
- Set clear KPIs and manage performance routines to promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Effectively communicate and align strategic goals with senior leadership to create actionable long-term plans.
- Identify performance improvement areas, enforce accountability, and drive operational results.
- Manage day-to-day supply operations, including customer service, order fulfillment, and logistics tracking.
- Collaborate with global teams on purchase orders, invoicing, and inventory flow; act as liaison with 3PLs and warehouses across the U.S. and Canada.
- Monitor and optimize inventory management, quality control, and customer allocation.
- Support product lifecycle activities such as new item onboarding, packaging adjustments, and sample coordination for commercial teams.
- Lead and develop a team of five, fostering engagement and performance excellence.
- Contribute as a key player within the ghd Operations team to drive execution excellence and support business growth in North America.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- 7 to 10+ years experience in Supply Chain or Operations leadership roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and adept with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver results in complex environments.
- Ability to think strategically and deliver tactical execution efficiently.
- Agile learner capable of quickly adopting new systems and processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent prioritization and time management capabilities.
- Excellent communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder influence aptitude.
- Collaborative leader skilled in building relationships across diverse teams.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a salary range between $140,000 and $164,000 annually, subject to variation based on location, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits include an annual bonus plan, health insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) retirement plans, paid holidays, and paid time off.
