About the Company
Our client is a leading global supplier of products and solutions within the hospitality and services industry, operating in multiple international markets. Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Manage monthly closing activities such as accruals, payroll entries, journal postings, and provisions.
- Supervise the closing processes across local accounting platforms and US reporting systems.
- Maintain the nominal ledger while ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
- Track daily sales performance, maintaining related reports and master data records.
- Lead weekly margin analysis and support the submission of financial forecasts.
- Prepare variance analyses accompanied by clear management commentary.
- Review, reconcile, and resolve intercompany balances for designated entities.
- Oversee royalty and rebate accrual processes.
- Update foreign exchange rates and monitor exposure to currency risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors in the UAE and UK.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and segregation of duties standards.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and assist with other indirect tax matters.
- Coordinate UAE corporate tax submissions, documentation, and compliance with Economic Substance Regulations.
- Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting efforts.
- Develop financial models to aid strategic and operational decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in processes, systems, and automation.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams by providing financial insights and assistance.
- Manage HR administration including onboarding paperwork and compliance.
- Handle Dubai office administrative responsibilities such as vendor coordination and utility management.
Candidate Profile
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or Business disciplines.
- Membership in a professional accounting body is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in an accounting role.
- Minimum two years experience managing office administration tasks.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and proficient in other MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP or Business Intelligence systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Applicants must be currently residing in the UAE.
