Job description

Role Overview

We are in search of a dynamic, driven manager or management couple ready to join the team at BIG4 Swan Hill. This position requires working on a rotating roster, providing outstanding guest service, collaborating effectively within a team, and being hands-on with daily operations.

About the Park

BIG4 Swan Hill is a privately owned family park spanning over ten acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, located only one kilometre from Swan Hill's town centre. The park offers the largest variety of accommodations in the area, including 37 cabins and apartments, 60 powered campsites, and 19 ensuite sites. Amenities include a splash park with a giant tipping bucket, a pool, giant jumping pillow, an 18-hole mini golf course, go-kart hire, purpose-built bike track, adventure playground, solar-heated pool, and a toddler’s pool. Swan Hill itself is a busy small town nestled in the heart of the Murray River region.

Job Duties

  • Manage general caravan park reception responsibilities
  • Collaborate with another assistant management team member on a rotating roster
  • Perform grounds and garden maintenance
  • Carry out minor building repairs such as plumbing and painting
  • Assist with cabin cleaning and laundry tasks
  • Handle reservations and guest check-in/check-out processes
  • Support guests with after-hours requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Previous park management experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong general maintenance and handyman skills
  • Familiarity with Newbook reservation software preferred; training provided if needed
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service consistently
  • Flexible work attitude with availability for varied hours
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to work closely with owners and management to meet the property's short- and long-term objectives
  • Innovative thinking to help grow business prospects
  • Good communication skills, self-confidence, and ability to work independently
