About the Role
This position centers on the management and execution of product implementation for both new and existing insurance offerings, with a focus on personal lines and motor products. The Assistant Manager will coordinate cross-functional product launches, oversee project delivery, and provide ongoing operational and strategic support, ensuring that all deliverables meet business and regulatory standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct and support PIWG operations, driving Stage 2 (Implementation) and Stage 3 (Post-Launch) for assigned products.
- Handle project management aspects such as scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment for product launches and post-launch activities.
- Organize and lead regular PIWG meetings on a bi-weekly basis.
- Address queries and requests from regulatory bodies (e.g., MAS), as well as internal audits concerning PIWG activities.
- Configure products using Product Packager software tools.
- Prepare and document detailed business requirements for New Business and Underwriting, collaborating with distribution teams for Personal Lines and Motor products.
- Assess IT-proposed business solutions and provide approvals as necessary.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and confirm delivery of product enhancements.
- Support change management initiatives, including creation of user documentation and conducting training on system updates.
- Facilitate launches for new products, updated features, and repricing initiatives.
Business Initiatives
- Advance the implementation of business initiatives as recommended by the Personal Lines and Motor teams.
- Compile user requirements and work closely with IT to define business solutions.
- Review, test, and approve IT deliverables to confirm alignment with business needs.
- Assist with presales programs, including management of campaign engines, activation portals, and process improvements for underwriting and new business issuance.
Business-As-Usual (BAU) Support
- Resolve operational or system concerns related to presales on an as-needed basis.
- Conduct regression testing during IT server upgrades or technology refresh projects.
- Assist with data extraction and analysis tasks.
