About the Role
The Assistant, Events supports the full lifecycle of event coordination and production, from initial planning stages to event day execution. This role requires a blend of on-site event support and critical administrative responsibilities, including developing timelines, organizing workflows, and managing vendor and permit procedures. The position collaborates closely with teams across multiple venues such as Chase Center, Thrive City, and various offsite locations to ensure that all Warriors, Valkyries, and entertainment brand events uphold the organization's standards of excellence.
This opportunity is a part-time, onsite role based in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
- Function as the main contact for assigned events, assisting with the planning and implementation of company brand, private, community, and offsite events.
- Liaise with both internal departments and external clients to steer events from conceptual phases through to their completion, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- Create and maintain detailed project timelines, schedules, event floorplans, workflows, and event documentation.
- Oversee the management of event equipment, including inventory control of onsite and offsite warehouses, textiles, technology assets, and vehicle coordination.
- Lead setup and breakdown operations for event equipment and training sessions.
- Manage Championship trophy appearances and related logistics at designated venues.
- Monitor daily departmental administrative tasks such as credit card expense processing, permit submissions to the San Francisco Fire Department, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Between six to twelve months of experience in customer service or event-related environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive; knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Proactive and creative problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven with a positive outlook in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable operating in energetic environments, including events with large crowds.
- Willingness to work flexible, sometimes demanding schedules encompassing nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
- Capability to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Endurance for prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, or turning.
- Frequent stair climbing.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is $23.00.
