Assistant Category Manager - 2W and Scooter

Position Overview

Join Porter as an Assistant Category Manager focusing on the two-wheeler and scooter segment in Guwahati. This role centers on managing the P&L for the category while driving supply, demand, retention, data-driven decision making, team leadership, and community engagement to elevate service and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous oversupply by maintaining a steady pipeline of leads through various channels, including training and retention methods.
• Drive retention initiatives involving proactive partner communications, zonal supply fulfillment, and customer retention strategies.
• Manage and foster the driver and customer community to enhance service quality and value for all stakeholders.
• Implement city-specific marketing and branding activities aligned with below-the-line (BTL) plans.
• Collect and analyze market and competitive intelligence to generate actionable business insights.
• Utilize data analysis and reporting to monitor performance, identify business challenges, and design effective solutions.
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies to streamline processes and address operational issues.
• Lead recruitment and management of a high-performing team of over 20 members, ensuring team efficiency and service excellence through continuous monitoring and improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing or related fields.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to handle and inspire teams effectively.
• Expertise in supply and demand planning to balance operational needs.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving to support strategic decisions.
• Advanced skills in creating reports using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent tools.
