About the Role
Join MyState Bank, a rapidly expanding financial institution focused on improving customer lending experiences across Brisbane, Hobart, and Bundaberg. As an Assessment Specialist within our Training & Enablement team, you will play a critical role in interpreting complex home lending applications, supporting various teams, and enhancing overall lending capabilities in Queensland and Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and make decisions on intricate home lending applications ensuring adherence to bank policies.
- Provide expert advice on credit guidelines and suitable loan structuring options.
- Offer ongoing support to Sales and Broker teams, enhancing their understanding and execution of lending processes.
- Mentor and coach team members to elevate lending skills and decision-making quality.
- Collaborate proactively to foster a consistent and improved lending experience across multiple regions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience assessing mortgage or loan applications.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage processing and loan assessment techniques.
- Proven experience working closely with brokers and sales networks.
- Ability to manage complex or escalated lending cases with confidence.
- Team-oriented approach with excellent collaboration skills across distributed teams.
- Interest in coaching and enhancing team capabilities is highly valued.
