Role Summary

The ASO7 Product Owner will report directly to the Product Manager and take the lead in overseeing the delivery, strategic management, upkeep, and ongoing enhancement of key Education Management System (EMS) applications used across South Australian government schools and preschools. The role ensures the EMS platform functions efficiently and aligns with user and organizational needs through support coordination, identifying opportunities for improvements, and managing projects within defined standards.

Work will involve close collaboration with schools, preschools, internal business units, and external suppliers to sustain service quality, implement software upgrades, and contribute to the department’s objectives for high-standard educational technology solutions.

Qualifications and Special Conditions

  • No mandatory qualifications required, though a degree or relevant qualification in IT, business, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Applicants must obtain and regularly renew a Department for Human Services Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • The incumbent must undertake the Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care (RRHAN-EC) training, either via a facilitator-led masterclass or fundamentals online course, and update this every three years.

Remuneration and Contract Details

The role offers a salary grade ASO7, ranging from $116,089 to $125,490 annually (full-time equivalent), including 12% superannuation and leave loading. There are two available full-time (1.0 FTE) contract positions offered initially for a 24-month term.
