Architectural Draftsman

Role Overview

Della Townships is looking for an experienced and detail-focused Architectural Draftsman to join its design office in Mumbai. This role is centered on converting master planning concepts into accurate architectural working drawings, technical documentation, and drawings required for municipal submissions, with a strong emphasis on large residential and mixed-use township developments.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing construction-ready drawings, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, and keeping township design documentation accurate and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare highly precise architectural working drawings suitable for construction, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed site drawings.
• Develop complex township master plans, infrastructure overlays, and landscape-related drafting for large multi-acre developments.
• Create detailed drawings for premium design components such as villa façades, clubhouses, thematic public areas, and hospitality-related spaces.
• Work closely with structural, MEP, landscape, and infrastructure teams to integrate consultant drawings and resolve design clashes.
• Ensure all drawings follow municipal regulations, Unified DCR / UDCPR requirements, and township planning standards applicable in Maharashtra.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and inputs from project management or senior leadership.
• Maintain drawing logs, version tracking, and disciplined document control across different project phases.
• Confirm that architectural details meet fire safety requirements, NBC standards, and environmental compliance norms.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a technical qualification in architectural drafting or architecture, along with substantial township project experience and expert-level CAD capability.

• Diploma in Architectural Assistantship, ITI Draughtsman (Civil), B.Arch, or a comparable technical qualification.
• 4 to 8 years of experience as an Architectural Draughtsman.
• At least one completed large-scale integrated township project of 50+ acres, handled from concept planning through GFC release.
• Expert-level command of AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Revit or similar BIM software experience is a strong advantage for township modelling.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, structural systems, and material detailing.
• Strong grasp of scaling, drawing composition, and organizing large CAD files with multiple layers.

Additional Information

The role is based at the Mumbai Head Office and reports to the HOD. No travel is required.

Working Arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site position in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
