About The Role

This position offers a hands-on engineering opportunity within a fast-growing tax advisory technology platform that emphasizes agentic-first AI solutions for the German small-to-medium enterprise market. You will become part of an elite AI & Automation team collaborating closely with founders and product leaders to develop infrastructure aimed at revolutionizing tax advisory firms by converting manual, repetitive tasks into efficient, AI-driven processes.

The platform operates at the crossroads of regulated financial services and advanced software engineering, thus requiring work on complex domain issues where precision and adherence to compliance standards are critical. The role mandates physical presence in Berlin, Germany.

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for applicants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop automation and infrastructure solutions to eliminate repetitive efforts within accounting and advisory operations.
  • Convert intricate accounting, tax, and advisory procedures into scalable AI software implementations.
  • Link systems and data streams across various partner firms to deliver a seamless, unified platform experience.
  • Work collaboratively with company founders, domain experts, and product teams to launch impactful features efficiently.
  • Play a key role in defining the platform's technical framework to ensure it is optimized for performance, dependability, and scalability over time.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience deploying AI solutions in production settings, ideally within regulated sectors such as finance, legal, tax, or healthcare.
  • Proficient in both TypeScript and Python with a strong track record of delivering clean, practical code.
  • Proven ability to develop AI-driven automation tools that substantially accelerate business workflows beyond experimental prototypes.
  • Solid foundation in computer science and a commitment to maintainable, clean engineering practices.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for understanding business operations, particularly accounting, finance, and optimizing workflows.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional or native-level German language skills, beneficial due to the specific domain and clientele.
  • Knowledge of German tax advisory workflows, including familiarity with DATEV or equivalent accounting software.
  • Experience working within consulting firms, fintech enterprises, or professional services technology companies.

Additional Information

This is a fully on-site position based in Berlin, Germany, requiring candidates to be regularly present at the office. Applicants must possess legal authorization to work in Germany, as no visa sponsorship will be provided.
