Application Support Engineer

About the Role

The "Offer Management & Digital Channel" team handles the sales-related IT systems that convert prospects into customers, including CRM, customer portals, product configurators, and a proprietary Sales Desk. This is where energy sales offers are generated, contracts executed, and supply processes initiated. We seek an Application Support Engineer to enhance and maintain these digital sales platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous stable operation and development of the customer portal and the internal Sales Desk solution.
• Gather requirements and deliver technical solutions collaboratively with business stakeholders.
• Manage external vendors to guarantee punctual project completions.
• Execute projects using agile methodologies like SCRUM, focusing on ongoing system optimization.
• Address incidents and service requests under ITIL guidelines.
• Keep system documentation current using Confluence, Azure DevOps, and LeanIX.

Candidate Profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent field.
• A minimum of three years' experience managing Java-based web apps with ORACLE or MS SQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, plus foundational knowledge in test, change, incident, and problem management.
• Practical experience with agile frameworks such as SCRUM or Kanban.
• Strong analytical capabilities, team collaboration, and effective communication skills.
• Proficient in both German and English (minimum B2 level).
