Position Overview
The Ancillary Services team plays an essential role within the Request to Pay (RTP) function, managing key processes such as the payment and filing of Revenue and HMRC returns, administration of Corporate Procurement Cards, completion of EU Intrastat returns, and oversight of the One Time Vendor (OTV) payment system. The team is also responsible for addressing Customs and Freight queries related to imports and exports, and ensuring that all pertinent policies and procedures remain current.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and file VAT returns for Irish Revenue and UK HMRC tax departments.
- Reconcile Relevant Contract Tax (RCT) and Relevant Payment Service Withholding Tax (PSWT) returns with Revenue statements.
- Handle Customs and Freight-related administrative tasks, including maintenance of SADs customs documentation and liaising with freight carriers.
- Provide ongoing support for the Corporate Procurement Card program, inclusive of VAT reporting.
- Engage in project work, implement process enhancements, and conduct systems testing as necessary.
- Support performance monitoring and governance via data analysis and reporting functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Business or Accounting Technician qualification is essential.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with an ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Collaborative team player with a customer service focus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ROS and HMRC tax filing processes.
- Experience using SAP software.
Work Location and Smart Working
This role is based at Gracedieu Road, Waterford. ESB’s Smart Working approach encourages purposeful face-to-face collaboration alongside digital flexibility, allowing employees to work remotely within the employment jurisdiction. The role requires in-office attendance at least twice a week, subject to ongoing review based on operational needs.
Reporting Line
The position reports directly to the Team Lead for Ancillary Services.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is €41,500 to €48,800 per annum.
