AI Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated content for safety, factual correctness, adherence to policies, and overall quality standards.
• Scrutinize sensitive content domains such as misinformation, political persuasion, self-harm, violence, cybersecurity, and biosecurity.
• Utilize and improve evaluation frameworks related to Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), Supervised Fine Tuning (SFT), and AI safety benchmarking measures.
• Identify unsafe AI outputs, hallucinations, reasoning errors, and policy breaches.
• Deliver organized feedback aimed at enhancing model alignment and safety outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with AI researchers and safety teams in ongoing evaluation projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as Journalism, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Law, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Have over five years of professional experience in AI Safety, Trust & Safety, journalism, public policy, scientific research, security, or related areas.
• Demonstrate strong English writing skills, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning capacity.
• Ability to appraise complex, nuanced, and policy-sensitive situations consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in AI Safety, RLHF, SFT, Trust & Safety, or AI content evaluation.
• Understanding of safety protocols, content moderation, and evaluation rubric creation.
• Experience managing and reviewing complex, high-risk, or ambiguous materials.

Compensation and Logistics

This role is a contract position with remuneration between $60 and $70 per hour. The work arrangement is fully remote.
