About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Assistant at Queally Group in Kildare, you will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions related to customer accounts. Your tasks will involve ensuring prompt invoicing and the effective collection of payments, all while addressing customer inquiries.

Main Duties

  • Issue and process customer invoices weekly
  • Generate credit notes as required
  • Process and allocate customer receipts on a daily basis
  • Monitor and analyze aged debtor reports
  • Initiate collections on overdue invoices and escalate issues following established procedures
  • Handle and resolve customer queries efficiently
  • Coordinate with internal teams like Sales and Supply Chain to address account concerns
  • Communicate with transportation companies to resolve delivery or account issues
  • Reconcile accounts receivable subledgers
  • Assist with daily banking activities
  • Support month-end financial close processes
  • Establish and manage new customer accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing accounts
  • Monitor credit limits and arrange for increased insurance when needed
  • Update pricing information in the ERP system as required
  • Engage with external auditors during audits
  • Support wider finance team functions and contribute to team objectives
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in accounts receivable is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Tertiary education is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Experience using ERP or accounting systems; familiarity with Insight is advantageous
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Effective time management skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for interaction across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to collaborate as part of a team
