Accounting Office Manager

Position Overview

This role involves overseeing the management of all store cash funds through precise cash handling and bookkeeping to maintain financial accuracy and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify daily cash amounts in the Accounting Office at opening, post-final deposit, and before closing; calibrate the teller mate machine weekly or as required.
• Handle all cash funds related to cash registers, ATMs, self-checkout machines, and vending equipment.
• Supervise cash flow by managing register deposit bags, preparing deposits for armored car collections, and reconciling daily business transactions.
• Prepare, organize, and segregate financial reports and logs; distribute necessary information to relevant personnel; investigate and challenge chargebacks and reconcile journal accounts.
• Report any cash shortages following company guidelines to the Department Loss Prevention Manager (DLPM) and Management.
• Monitor the area for signs of inventory shrinkage and security threats, promptly notifying management and Loss Prevention.
• Ensure the safe remains locked when unattended, maintain a secure workplace in line with company policies and procedures, and implement day-lock security protocols while in the cash office.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15.
