Role Overview

Based in Dubai, UAE, the position titled Finance Manager - Transaction Accounting involves managing and leading all transactional accounting functions throughout the organization. The role ensures financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner and adhere to IFRS, company policies, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily transactional accounting tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank and cash dealings, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, employee expenses, and fixed asset accounting support.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions complying with IFRS and internal policies.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes specifically related to transaction accounting.
• Review and authorize journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Guarantee timely completion and resolution of balance sheet reconciliations and outstanding issues.
• Assist with statutory audits providing necessary documentation to auditors.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial processes ensuring compliance with governance requirements, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Monitor adherence to approval hierarchies, delegation of authority, and financial policies.
• Manage banking transactions and accounting activities related to cash.
• Support cash flow reporting and treasury operations, including bank account reconciliations across entities.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to optimize efficiency and control.
• Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and finance transformation initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Preferably possesses a professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CMA.
• Brings 8 to 10 years of advancing accounting experience, including minimum 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Has experience in multinational firms, preferably within offshore services, energy, oil & gas, marine, engineering, or project-driven industries.
• Strong understanding of IFRS frameworks and financial control principles.
• Proficient in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
