Join Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara as a Wave Pool Instructor, where you'll play a vital role in managing and supervising aquatic activities in the wave pool. As part of Minor Hotels' extensive global portfolio, this role involves delivering safety and excellent guest experiences at our vibrant recreational facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe operation of the wave pool, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and guest adherence to rules.
• Conduct safety instructions and explain wave pool regulations to guests before allowing entry.
• Maintain vigilant surveillance of swimmers and pool conditions to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Assist visitors safely entering and leaving the pool area.
• Enforce restrictions relating to age, height, and safety guidelines as dictated by the park’s policies.
• Quickly manage incidents, emergencies, and address guest concerns professionally.
• Regularly inspect the pool environment, including equipment, flotation devices, and safety signage to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Collaborate closely with lifeguard personnel, operations teams, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth day-to-day pool activities.
• Keep the pool deck and adjacent guest areas tidy and well-organized.
• Document incidents, operational issues, and daily reports accurately.
• Provide assistance during special aquatic events, group sessions, and programs when needed.
• Maintain an upbeat and encouraging atmosphere through outstanding guest service.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aquatic environments, water parks, swimming coaching, or guest service is an advantage.
• Lifeguard certification is mandatory or candidates must be willing to obtain it prior to employment.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and water rescue are preferred.
• Proven strong swimming skills and familiarity with water safety measures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of maintaining composure and alertness under emergency circumstances.
• Availability to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and during peak periods.
