About the Role

Join Mackay Regional Council as a Warehouse Trainee and play a crucial role in ensuring projects have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials delivered punctually and accurately. This position offers hands-on exposure to warehouse functions, including logistics and procurement processes, within a collaborative and supportive team setting.

Key Responsibilities

You will actively participate in receiving and dispatching inventory, coordinating delivery schedules, managing stock levels, and assisting customers. This dynamic role allows you to build practical experience daily, preparing you for a future in warehousing, logistics, and procurement.

• Paget Depot, Mackay, Queensland, Australia

Training and Qualification

The program is a 24-month traineeship providing the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations. Practical experience will complement your formal education, conducted within the council’s warehouse environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Individuals new to warehousing or school leavers seeking entry into the industry.
• Applicants interested in warehouse facility operations including stock management, logistics, and delivery services.
• Active planners and problem-solving thinkers.
• Good verbal and written communicators.
• Team players able to build positive workplace relationships.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks.
• Completion of Year 10 is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information
