Role Overview
This opportunity invites a UX Designer specializing in infrastructure to join a globally distributed team based in Ireland. You'll focus on creating user-friendly interfaces for sophisticated open-source infrastructure products used internationally by corporations. The position blends UX strategy, research, design systems, and collaboration with engineering to simplify management of advanced cloud and data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clear and efficient workflows and user interfaces for complex infrastructure tools supporting cloud environments.
- Work alongside product managers and engineers to define product strategies and enhance user experience.
- Utilize UX research techniques and usability principles to address complicated product challenges effectively.
- Convert technical complexities into approachable and accessible designs that enhance usability.
- Help evolve and promote the use of design systems for consistent product presentation.
- Comprehend broad product ecosystems alongside technical and user requirements to inform design decisions.
- Participate in cross-team design projects and aid in establishing shared design standards.
- Champion user-centered design philosophies and foster design maturity organization-wide.

Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Technical curiosity combined with a solid foundation in UX and product design.
- Experience in crafting digital products, notably complex platforms, developer tools, enterprise solutions, or technical applications.
- Proficiency in user research with the ability to apply insights to product development.
- Strong grasp of UX methodologies, design principles, and usability standards.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems or reusable design components.
- Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including engineers and leadership.
- Excellent communication abilities to detail and defend design decisions clearly.
- Adaptable mindset, eager for continuous learning and growth.
- Interest in engaging with real-world technology, infrastructure, and complex technical contexts.
- Capability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail and execution excellence.
- Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in User Experience, Design, STEM, or related disciplines; alternative backgrounds also considered.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally multiple times yearly for company events.
