UX Designer - Google Cloud

About the Role

As a UX Designer specializing in interaction design, you'll transform complex workflows into intuitive and engaging experiences used globally. Your work will span user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, contributing to a refined and magical end product. Collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management, you will leverage user insights to develop cutting-edge products within the Google Cloud ecosystem.

The AI and Compute Infrastructure (ACI) UX team develops user-centered designs for managing secure, reliable, and unified cloud compute infrastructure across platforms like Google Compute Engine and Kubernetes Engine. This team supports customers in migrating and modernizing workloads while harnessing Google's AI Hypercomputer architecture for advanced managed services. The focus is on delivering scalable, consistent, and agent-native cloud products that accelerate innovation in AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and articulate design strategies to fellow designers and stakeholders including product managers.
• Create storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes to guide and influence product development.
• Develop a thorough understanding of cloud technologies, user needs, competitive landscape, and market potential.
• Produce detailed design specifications such as mock-ups and product models for implementation.
• Innovate design solutions addressing user, product, and business challenges while adapting to changing constraints.
• Employ foundational design principles, patterns, and systems, crafting prototypes using design tools and processes.
• Follow established templates, style guides, and accessibility standards.
• Identify product requirements based on business and user insights and contribute to or help evolve the company’s design system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in interaction or user experience design for product development.
• Portfolio or relevant work samples accessible via link or instructions included with the application.
• Preferred: Minimum 1 year experience leading design projects.
• Preferred: Proficiency with UX design software such as Figma and Canva.
• Preferred: Experience creating designs for complex enterprise-level technical applications.
