Role Overview
The Tester will play a key role in developing and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure the delivery of quality software solutions. The role involves planning, designing, and performing various types of tests as well as managing defects and collaborating across teams to enhance product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing, systematically documenting outcomes and issues within test management tools.
- Identify, report, and prioritize defects; work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to confirm thorough test coverage and provide constructive feedback to improve testability.
- Collaborate extensively with developers, analysts, project managers, business owners, and QA colleagues to support quality delivery.
- Deliver timely and transparent test progress reports, highlighting risks and results.
- Advocate for robust quality assurance practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing tools and methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, standards, and compliance requirements throughout all testing activities.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
- Proven track record in software testing, including test design and execution.
- Familiar with testing tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Compensation and Contract Details
- Annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $125,000 plus superannuation benefits.
- 12-month contract position featuring flexible working hours.
