Terminal Operations Supervisor

Overview

The Terminal Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the secure, efficient, and productive management of all activities within the yard and vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify adherence to safety protocols by all staff and third-party terminal users.
• Oversee the effective allocation and utilization of terminal resources.
• Prepare terminal operations and ensure the secure positioning of quayside assets prior to vessel arrivals.
• Enhance the operational efficiency of vessels and yard activities under the guidance of the duty Vessel Controller.
• Maintain terminal cleanliness and coordinate routine maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Department to report equipment malfunctions and arrange servicing.
• Facilitate operator training sessions whenever applicable.
• Maintain open and effective communication channels with both internal teams and external customers.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational requirement: Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• Technical certifications such as safety courses (e.g., first aid, IOSH) are advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driving license is required.
• At least five years of professional experience in container terminal operations.
• Familiarity with terminal operating systems, preferably MACH.
