MDI Medical Ltd, part of the HSL Group, is a well-established company providing advanced medical devices to public and private hospitals across Ireland and the UK. Based in Kells, County Meath, with additional offices in Belfast and the UK, MDI Medical has national sales and technical support teams active from these locations.

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our growing Healthcare Technology team. This role focuses on supporting diverse healthcare technology solutions, including medical devices, digital health hardware, and software, across customer sites in Ireland. The role will be primarily field-based and centered in Kells, Meath.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for both company and third-party healthcare technology products, including medical devices and digital health equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues through workshop repairs, remote troubleshooting, and onsite support visits.
• Support a variety of stakeholders such as IT personnel, clinical engineers, and clinical staff.
• Perform planned and preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, configuration, and optimization of hardware, software, and network products on-site.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests with an emphasis on high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Offer technical support for demo builds and installations to the sales team.
• Manage spare parts and relevant tools effectively.
• Maintain and update Health Technology IT equipment to latest standards and updates.
• Document all support activities accurately and promptly using the company’s service software.
• Coordinate with team members to manage hardware readiness for installations.
• Comply fully with ISO quality standards applicable to the role.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• Engineering qualification or related industry certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of IT systems and hardware.
• Experience working with Microsoft applications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical fault diagnosis skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team or project setting.
• High standards of professionalism and quality in work.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to maintain positive customer relationships.
• Flexibility to meet service delivery requirements for MDI Medical’s customers.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Location: Unit 32, Cavan Rd, Kells, A82 E972, County Meath, Ireland

Salary: €40,000 to €47,000 per year (dependant on experience and qualifications)
