Job description

Overview

EmergenceTek Group Inc. is looking to hire a seasoned technical recruiter with extensive experience in IT staffing to lead its recruitment operations from start to finish. This is a critical role as the company is expanding rapidly and current recruitment activities are distributed among sales and executive divisions with limited part-time support. The appointed recruiter will be the inaugural dedicated professional managing this function, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and collaborating closely with the head of delivery, client account managers, and the executive team. The main objective is to efficiently staff both client projects and internal engineering positions.

Position Details

  • This is a full-time remote position for candidates residing in the U.S. who are authorized to work without requiring sponsorship.
  • Employment type is W2 with a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 based on background and market conditions, complemented by an uncapped variable pay yielding an OTE between $95,000 and $130,000.
  • Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, health, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Candidate Profile

  • Self-motivated and proactive in decision-making, establishing solutions independently while communicating choices when ambiguities arise.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI-driven automation to replace repetitive tasks and integrate advanced candidate screening methods.
  • Presents a strong technical understanding of software development, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and modern software architecture to critically assess candidate fit and engage with senior engineers effectively.
  • Commercially savvy, balancing the demands of rate integrity, quality of hire, and speed, with an ability to negotiate and make independent judgments regarding business viability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through candidate start date, with variable hiring volume based on client demand.
  • Conduct full-cycle interviews for non-technical roles such as project managers, business analysts, and product owners using structured scorecards.
  • Oversee screening, candidate preparation, interview scheduling, feedback collection, and offer management for technical positions working alongside practice leads who handle the technical assessments.
  • Carry out thorough candidate verification to prevent misrepresentation especially in remote technical roles.
  • Focus on contract extensions and redeployment to retain high-performing consultants.
  • Develop and nurture talent pipelines during lower demand periods to ensure readiness for surges.
  • Enhance recruiting processes by automating workflows, managing applicant tracking systems, and updating evaluation tools to improve efficiency and market insight.

Responsibilities Outside the Role

  • Not responsible for business development or prospecting; any identified leads transition to the sales team with a referral bonus provided.
  • Technical interviews conducted by practice leads.
  • No submittal volume or outreach activity targets imposed.

Performance Metrics

  • Measured by fill rates, time to fill, employee retention, extension and redeployment success, and gross margin contribution.
  • Quality metrics include submittal-to-interview conversion rates and ensuring no misrepresented candidates reach clients.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of four years conducting full-cycle recruiting within IT staffing or technology consulting agencies.
  • Demonstrated capability to independently manage a full recruiting desk, handling surges with ten or more concurrent roles.
  • Experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical delivery roles, with ability to conduct substantive interviews independently.
  • In-depth understanding of software development, data engineering, AI, and architecture to assess resumes and converse knowledgeably with engineers.
  • Working knowledge of contracting models including contract and contract-to-hire, and financials like bill rate, pay rate, and gross margin.
  • Proven track record of autonomous operation, including designing or significantly revamping recruitment processes.
  • Proficiency with AI-based recruitment tools and their practical application to improve workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in boutique or small firms managing entire recruitment functions.
  • Recruitment exposure to regulated sectors such as healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience creating or managing automation solutions within recruitment processes.
