Technical Engineer – MEP

Overview

The Technical Engineer – MEP plays a vital role in reviewing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering drawings and associated technical specifications. This position provides essential technical assistance to project teams, fosters coordination with consultants and subcontractors, and upholds strict adherence to project criteria, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate MEP drawings, specifications, and related technical documents thoroughly.
• Develop technical submittals, obtain material approvals, and draft method statements for project activities.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding technical issues.
• Address and resolve technical challenges encountered both in design and at project sites.
• Verify that project deliverables meet all specifications, applicable codes, and established standards.
• Assist procurement operations by reviewing technical data submissions and supporting material selection processes.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to guarantee that MEP installations proceed efficiently and on schedule.
• Ensure all technical documentation and records related to projects are accurately maintained and updated.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MEP construction projects is required.
• Prior experience within the UAE or GCC regions is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection is expected.
• Familiarity with regulations from local authorities and awareness of international standards is necessary.
• Candidates must currently be residing within the UAE.
