Technical Consultant

Role overview

This is a permanent Technical Consultant position with a cybersecurity organization based in Bedok, Singapore. The role follows a 5-day work week from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm, and offers a basic salary of up to S$5,000 together with flexi benefits and a variable bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with customer teams to shape solutions that fit their specific business and technical needs.
• Run product and solution walkthroughs, present offerings to stakeholders, and support proof-of-concept exercises.
• Support pre-sales efforts, including participation in seminars and trade shows.
• Prepare and present technical responses for client and prospect queries, including RFIs and RFPs.
• Plan, coordinate, and carry out activities with end users, system integrators, and external vendors.
• Help partners build capability in solution selling and implementation.
• Maintain active communication with the R&D center for product-related and project-specific implementations.
• Contribute to post-sales work such as system rollout and project management when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related IT discipline.
• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in software application development, implementation, or support.
• Strong working knowledge of development languages and environments such as Java, JavaScript, and Objective-C.
• Exposure to Java application servers such as Oracle WebLogic and Apache Tomcat.
• Understanding of API integration approaches such as REST, SOAP, and XML.
• Solid experience with relational database systems and administration, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Comfortable working across Windows and Unix/Linux environments, with command-line usage, scripting, and basic system administration tasks.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, LDAP, and Single Sign-On solutions will be an added advantage.
• Mobile application development experience is beneficial.
• Prior success in handling large, complex IT projects, especially in banking or public sector environments, is a plus.
• Must be open to travel as and when required.

Compensation and benefits

• Basic pay of up to S$5,000 per month.
