Position Overview

The Barrick Africa Middle East team is looking to strengthen its workforce by hiring a Maintenance Storeman. The successful candidate will embody Barrick's core values such as integrity, accountability, a results-driven mindset, commitment to zero harm, and fostering meaningful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle receipt, storage, assembly, packing, and unpacking of goods ensuring no damage and complete orders.
• Coordinate with relevant trade teams to obtain necessary items for task completion.
• Verify that all purchase orders specify the location of material use and have supervisor approval.
• Distribute tools and maintain cleanliness of the workshop and its surroundings.
• Implement practices to keep the site free from hazards.
• Monitor stock levels to determine reorder needs and organize inventory for convenient and safe access.
• Support and execute stock audits.
• Ensure stock safety and security by enforcing health and safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness and order in the store.
• Follow supervisor instructions attentively.
• Assist in the safe loading and unloading of materials from vehicles, collaborating with colleagues as needed.

Qualification Requirements

• Completion of ordinary secondary school education.
• Practical skills in maintenance and engineering knowledge.
• Awareness of Mines Health & Safety Act.

Experience & Competencies

• Minimum of two years experience in a similar role involving store operations, driving, and yard duties or equivalent.
• Valid driving license and demonstrated driving capability.
